Dr. Stuart Titus, Ph.D. is a cannabis industry icon and innovator who is widely regarded for his expertise in groundbreaking cannabinoid research, breaking open new markets overseas and new applications for the therapeutic and industrial use of cannabis.
As the CEO of Medical Marijuana Inc., the first-ever publicly traded cannabis company in the United States, Dr. Titus has been involved in all aspects of the medical marijuana and industrial hemp industries as he also oversees a robust portfolio of subsidiary and investment companies. Through his leadership, Medical Marijuana, Inc. became the first company to deliver cannabis brands across U.S. state lines and international borders, making cannabidiol (CBD) available across 50 states and in dozens of countries.
As a pioneer in the nascent cannabis space, Dr. Titus was the No. 7 investor in Medical Marijuana, Inc., having also raised the Company’s seed financing. In addition to his role at Medical Marijuana, Inc., he is the Co-Founder and President of private equity company General Hemp, LLC. Through Dr. Titus’ leadership, General Hemp has managed the emergence and growth of several other industry-leading companies including CannaVest, Kannalife Sciences Inc., AXIM Biotechnologies, HempMeds, Kannaway, and others.
At Medical Marijuana, Inc., Dr. Titus brings with him a unique blend of healthcare and finance expertise. His expertise in finance was forged on Wall Street, where he worked as a bond trader for 11 years, managing a trading and underwriting department as a V.P. for CS First Boston Corp. Dr. Titus is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., where he majored in Economics and minored in Business Administration. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the Open International University, which is a World Health Organization (WHO)-chartered affiliate. He worked Post-Wall Street as a British Physiotherapist for over 15 years. Having run clinics specializing in integrative pain management and injury rehabilitation, he treated over 40,000 patients and is currently active in the medical community with specific interest in electro-physiotherapy and anti-aging medicine.
Dr. Titus holds a Fellowship with the American Academy of Pain Management and clinical association with the American Association of Integrative Medicine.
